The CHW Registry is a national digital platform for managing Community Health Workers (CHWs) across Kenya. It supports registration, verification, deployment tracking, and reporting aligned with the Community Health Strategy 2020-2030.
Community Health Assistants (CHAs) manage CHWs within their CHU, while Sub-County Health Focal Persons (SCHFPs) oversee approvals and reporting across all CHUs in their sub-county.
CHAs use the multi-step registration form to capture personal details, verify through IPRS, assign to a CHU, and submit for SCHFP approval. The process includes document upload and training records.
National ID numbers are verified against IPRS in real-time. The CHA then performs field verification, and the SCHFP conducts a final review before approval. This ensures every CHW record is accurate and complete.
The system provides reports on CHW demographics (age, gender, education), training completion, stipend status, verification rates, attrition, and distribution by cadre. Data can be exported as Excel, PDF, or KHIS-compatible CSV formats.
